Brief note on UttarAndhra (north AP)
In the last 76 years UttarAndhra people migrated to all over the world due to lack of development despite abundance of natural resources . As a connsequence, lands, resources and political representation of UttarAndhra people are captured by outsiders. Existence of UttarAndhra culture is under threat. To reverse it, local people must govern the region for the development and to protect identity of UttarAndhra. This is possible only with formation of UttarAndhra state. Building of UttarAndhra Party under local leadership is happening to realise UttarAndhra state. It will contest all 53 MLA seats and 8 MP seats in 2024 General Elections.

What is UttarAndhra region?
The region of Andhra Pradesh that lies to the north of Godavari River comprising four old districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Vishakapatnam and East Godavari. It covers an area of about 40,000 square kilometers with a population of two crore. It has 450 km coastline, 500 km 4/6 lane national highways, two airports, one major port, and other small ports too. Visakhapatnam with a population of 30 lakh is centrally located to become the capital of UttarAndhra state.

UttarAndhra Party Draft Policy Paper
1. For the purpose of development, UttarAndhra will be divided in to three Zones. a) Coastal area as Blue Economy, b) Mountain / Forest Area as Green Economy, and c) Plains area as Red Economy
2. Reorganization of all old revenue divisions into districts and appointment of 333 police for one lakh people. All vacancies in government departments will be filled.
3. Agricultural Policy : Every acre of the land in UttarAndhra will get irrigation by getting our share of Godavari waters. Warehouses to store farm produce, agro based industries and marketing facilities will be established to make agriculture profitable.
4. Industrial Policy: Visakhapatnam city will be developed as a world class peoples' capital city. Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Kakinada and Rajamundry will be developed as metropolitan cities for education, medical and employment avenues. Other district towns will be provided modern facilities to create employment. Strengthening district industries centers to assist entrepreneurs.
5. Health Policy: Public hospitals will developed to provide quality health care free of charge. Numbers of doctors and nurses will be significantly increased. Health budget will be increased.
6. Education Policy: Quality free feducation from Anganwadi to 12th grade for all. Abolition of all private schools in this section. University and Industry interactions will be encouraged.
7. Women Empowerment Policy: UttarAndhra Party is committed to give 50% of all political positions to women. Dwacra groups will be encouraged to become production centers of goods and services.
8. Youth policy: Every man and woman of 21 years of age will be developed in to a nation builders.
9. Welfare Policy: All efforts will be made to increase purchasing power of every citizen in UttarAndhra state. Welfare schemes will be continued for those with low purchasing power.

Who is spearheading it?
UttarAndhra Party is founded by Mr Metta Rama Rao, a farmer's son who left IRS (1990) for UttarAndhra in 2019. Mr Rao studied Mechanical Engineering. He studied Master in Public Administration in LKY School of Public Administration, Singapore. He had been President of IRS Association from 2012-15. He worked across India: Chennai, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Delhi, Kolkata, Patna, Kanpur, Rohtak etc. He worked as Spl Commr in Andhra Pradesh Bhawan. He holds a Law degree as well.
